Spring has sprung!
Spring has (finally) sprung in New England with its budding branches and vibrant green grass. Rising for morning practice is that much easier with the beautiful morning light, chirping birds and warmer temps. And, ever since the wildly awesome super eclipse, there seems to be a newfound delight in the human experience, a bit of excitement for the raw beauty of our planet, and the vastness of the Universe.
Recent moments at Yogalicious Hanover
It’s been a while since I last connected with you here and we have lots to catch up on! Last year we converted a garage into a boutique hot yoga room (steps from the Dartmouth Green) which we launched shortly afterwards. It continues to gain momentum and the community is blossoming. It’s shockingly fun to offer private and semi-private classes at “Yogalicious Hanover”, reconnecting with old students and meeting new ones. All of you care for so many, and juggle so much and we are here to help you take care of yourself! Classes can be booked online here. #bendsoyoudontbreak
Yoga means connecting with everyBODY, seeing all of us as equals, EMPOWERING all of us. After years of hoping to have the opportunity and months of logistical hurdles, I am now honored to be teaching classes consistently at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility. Sharing the journey of the human experience, the trials, tribulation and triumphs, the power of breath and movement as medicine, with incarcerated male adults continues to be extraordinarily rewarding. Each time I teach there is a profound experience—both as I move through the complex process of security clearance to class and in my interactions with those who attend, I am humbled by how much we learn from one another.
I also recently had the pleasure of teaching in this gorgeous barn as part of a 50th birthday celebration! What fun!!! The event was a beautiful reminder of the importance of simply showing up, on and off the mat, as the very best version of ourselves, aging with grace and strength! Enjoy the class playlist here!
There are so many reasons to get your ass to yoga class…perhaps the greatest benefit of a yoga practice is simply pausing to tilt your face to the sun, enjoying the moment. Pausing to hear the wind through the trees, and notice the geese flying North for the summer.
And, speaking of summer, “Yogalicious Ojibway” will be offering group classes three mornings a week at the Ojibway Club again on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays all summer long! We’re open to privates and pop-ups on the docks or rocks, too. Maybe even a paddleboard session in summer 2024!?!
Breathe in the Moment. Call a Friend. Be of Service. Connect with Nature. #itsallyoga
The light in me sees the light in you. Namaste.
